From Barcelona, Spain, Max Feliu is a fourth-year student at UNC-Chapel Hill’s Hussman School of Journalism and Media. Having lived in various places around the world, Max has cultivated a prismatic perspective, allowing him to approach his stories through diverse lenses. This multifaceted outlook is evident in his work, particularly when he captures various perspectives with his camera. Max's recent documentary film project, "Above The Divide" earned CPOY’s Award of Excellence in Online Storytelling and second place in the Hearst Multimedia Narrative Storytelling Competition.

Max has developed skills across print, digital, and broadcast platforms throughout his journalism career, but he found his true calling in documentary film making. Through visual communication, he endeavors to shed light on underrepresented topics that embody the human experience. Max brings attention to the complexities of underdiscussed stories that lack mass exposure, providing a voice for those who need it the most.
