Max Feliu Merce
From Barcelona, Spain, Max Feliu is a third-year student at UNC-Chapel Hill’s Hussman School of Journalism and Media. Having lived in various places around the world, Max has cultivated a prismatic perspective, allowing him to approach his stories through diverse lenses. This multifaceted outlook is evident in his work, particularly when he captures various perspectives with his camera. Max's documentary film project, "For Myself," was featured in the multimedia project "Hallowed Hills," which earned CPOY’s Award of Excellence in Online Storytelling.
Max is gaining experience in both traditional and digital media positions through his work at UNC. His background in photography, videography, the written press, and broadcast enables him to engage in multiple fields within journalism while envisioning innovative approaches. Max aspires to tell stories that educate, inform, and inspire audiences. Through visual communication, he endeavors to shed light on underrepresented topics. Max brings attention to the complexities of underdiscussed stories that lack mass exposure, providing a voice for those who need it the most.
